guiyoforward Posted July 5, 2006 Share Posted July 5, 2006 hi there, I have an inspiron 710m with 10.4.5 the machine seemed pretty slow under osx, and I had to boot into windows, turn on the wireless, and restart - os x would not let me start the wireless card. however, I am now using the machine (1.7ghz, recognised on sys info as 2.0 ghz) and it is pretty fast! i did some heavey calculations in windows before restarting the mahcine. is there any way that the processor, a pentium m that downgrades its speed to save battery, is locked in windows, so that if I reboot from a low speed in windows then mac os x will also be slow? please let me know if there is any way of effectively measuring the speed of the processor in os x. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
