valkin
Hey Guys, I just bought a Time Capsule, and since it support N-Draft wifi, i would like to buy a N-draft wireless card for my Dell Latitude D430 Laptop. The laptop is running OSX 10.5.8 and everything works great, but i was wondering if anyone here know what N card would work perfect ?? tompic823
As long as you have a PCI Express Mini (Mini PCI Express) port, I suggest you go with the BroadCom BCM94312. It can be had for ~$15 on eBay and boasts native OS X support. Plus, it supports Wireless N, making it perfect for your needs. Hope this helps! tompic823
Well, I own the card, so I can confirm it support wireless n (it's no longer draft). Also, have you tried googling "BroadCom BCM94312 wireless n?" tompic823
http://cgi.ebay.com/BroadCom-BCM94321-BCM9...1#ht_3326wt_941 And just read any of the text immediately under "DRAFT-802.11N PRODUCT FAMILY." As for speeds, I'm not sure since I don't have an N router, but I have connected to N routers in the past. tompic823
Glad I could help! At the price, it's truly worth the upgrade to wireless N. Plus, along with faster speeds, the card also provides native OS X support, thus requiring no extra/modified kexts. This just brings you one step closer to a truly vanilla system (if you're going for it). Good luck with the install!
