sirdemonbrown
heylo! i did a fresh install of SL on an Aspire 3680 notebook. the wireless card is a Mini-PCI Dell 1390 (Broadcom 4311). the wireless symbol appears in menu bar, but is off. if i try to turn it on, nothing happens. i tried running the 43xx shell script stickied in this forum to no avail. i've upgraded SL to 10.6.2. everything else seems to be working fine. any ideas? thanx! -=> s.d.b. sirdemonbrown
after battling, i finally remembered that there was a tiny switch on the front of my Aspire 3680 that turns the wifi on/off. just after powering on, i moved the switch to activate the wifi. now it works! very simple, but overlooked for days!
