kexts help

Hi everyone,

I have just installed SL 10.6.2 on an EP45-DS3R.

I used a retail dvd and Kakewalk boot cd.

I have a couple of problems due to the fact my mobo isn't listed as compatible with the boot cd.The nearest was an EP45-DS3L which I chose at install.

I need to install kexts for

Video (nvidia9800gt)

Sound (alc889a)

ps3 keyboard and mouse (not essential)

 

I have downloaded OSXTools and what look like the required Video kexts but when I go to select the kexts they are greyed out so I cannot select and install them.

 

That is how I used to do it in 10.5.x, is it not possible to do it this way in 10.6.2?

You don't need to install video kexts for this card, use Chameleon's GraphicsEnabler. Add this to com.apple.Boot.plist

	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>y</string>
