Milanche78
I am new with this Mac-Hackintosh thing, but I wanted to try it. I know that The easiest way would be to follow one of so many guides for different Intel based combos. I would gladly do it, but Intel is very very "bad buy" at this moment! The socket 775 is fairly "cheap" (well, only comparing to 1156 and 1366) but with so many restrictions, it is a "dead" platform, uses only DDR2 and so on, on the other hand 1156 is not supported + this stupid integrated graphic chip and the only fully supported CPU , i5-750 is to much for me(by cost and by performance) + I recently read that even socket 1156 will not last long , only a year, so it is one more reason not to invest in it. So, what should I do, to buy an Intel E6300 and EP45 mobo (if I can find one) or by an AMD platform and try, and if it is not working forget all about this. EricM
Don't buy AMD! You will have more problems with that than an 1156 chip BY FAR. There are numerous cases where people have gotten i3s to work with p55 chipsets. Just do some research... as for longetivity, the only thing I can think of is problems with foxconn chipsets, not a problem with the processor itself but thats mostly been worked out in the last 11 months... Don't you think Gigabyte would have worked out their problems almost after a year? Check the dates of your articles... P.S. as for me, I've yet to see a SINGLE problem with my mobo. Some people are just paranoid. You will be perfectly fine. Also, what do you mean that the "i5-750 is too much for me(by cost and performance)"? an1r0n
I agree with EricM, don't buy AMD if you dont have to. U cannot use vanilla install (u must use custom mac kernel to have full support on mac)... Cheers, an1r0n Don't buy AMD! You will have more problems with that than an 1156 chip BY FAR.
