Hello,

I decided to install Mac OSx86. Installation was completed without any problem, but I have problem with booting. In about 60% of loading the loading panel disappeared and it wrote "Please reboot your computer" or something similar.

What should I do?

My hardware:

CPU: DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6550, 2333 MHz (7 x 333)

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R

Chipset: Intel Bearlake P35

RAM: 2048 MB A-Data EXTREME DDR2 800+

BIOS: Award Modular (01/04/08)

Graphic adapter: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (1024 MB)

Display: Dell 2407WFP-HC (Digital) [24" LCD] (DR47481G139S)

Sound card: Realtek ALC885/889A/890 @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller

Networking card: Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) (10.0.0.5)

Optical drive: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D ATA Device

Hard drive: WDC WD2500AAKS-00VSA0 ATA Device

I ran into a similar problem with a few hard drives.

Reboot with the install media and run Disk Utility to see if you can either verify or repair the drive. I was not able to so I swapped it for another drive and the install worked fine.

Another thought, wipe the drive clean before attempting to install it, I ran into issues with failed installs stopping another attempt.

Other than that I have no suggestions.

I have done three succesful installs of 10.6 and MANY failures As a former system builder I have loads of hardware so this kind of install is a great exercise for me.
