soundboy64
My menubar (the area in the top right corner) is unusable, the spotlight icon keeps flashing and when I tell OS X to show other icons in the menubar, i.e. ichat, sound, displays, etc. they don't show up. Most of the time I hover my mouse when the spotlight icon is there I get the spinning beach ball... Anyone know of a fix? Thanks! CheetinCheetah
This has been discussed before. I hope you didn't lose your interest in Mac OS X yet! During the install phase, there is a SemJaza 10.4.6 for AMD when you customize your Mac OS X install. I keep having the "blinking spotlight" error, scratched my head so many times through endless installs BECAUSE i didn't open my big brown eyes and chose that Semjaza for AMD option when I was on an Intel. Go figure. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21066-menubar-spotlight-icon-unusable-and-keeps-flashing/#findComment-229619 Share on other sites
Bruce Wang
I had the same problem before, after I manually removed QT 7.1.3 and iTune 7. Reinstalled QT and iTune couldn't fix the error, I ended up reinstalling OS X.
