sendblink23
Hi there, I've already installed iAtkos v7 10.5.7 OS installer on many Intel computers, but now... I've got a new AMD computer for my self, and I can't even get to load fully the Installer Screen, it just stays gray background and *Mouse icon being the *Loading circle colors thing... it stays like that forever That is booting the DVD with: -v cpus=1 busratio=20 Its the only way it has booted the DVD without any errors, only the gray screen issue with mouse loading thing, everything else fails to boot: -v -v cpus=1 cpus=1 -v idlehalt=0 This is the whole system specs that I have right now: MOBO: MSI 770-C45 AM3 CPU: Phenom ii X4 965BE C3 3.40Ghz stock RAM: 8gb (4 x 2gb) DDR3-800 GFX: ATI Radeon HD4650 1gb DDR2 AUDIO: ALC888S / ALC885 ETHERNET: Realtek PCI-E GbLAN controller 8111DL OPTICAL: LG SATA DVD-RW STORAGE: 1TB 7200RPM Hitachi SATA PSU: Codegen 550w Cooling: Zalman CNPS9700 + 1 x 120mm + 5 x 80mm Fans OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 A little note... tested with: PS/2: Keyboard + Mouse then with... USB Keyboard + Mouse I tested those because after it starts loading to the gray screen (Mouse being as loading circle colors, I can move it around)... well there is no response from the keyboard(not even clicking capslock or numberlock keys respond), it did the same on both ways. I also tested with 1 ram only and it did the same thing, so the 8gb rams is not a related issue, that is what I assume. Any help would be appreciated, I want to do iAtkos v7 only because I've been super successful with that Distro version on many computers & I'm used to iAtkos. Other boot ideas for the DVD? sendblink23
use ideneb 1.6 lite=10.5.8 it has support for 700 series chipsets worked fine for me Well thanks I'm starting to download it right now... but {censored} the seeding is horrible max is about 14kbs (should have gotten it when it came out) I'll post back when i get it & you tell me what to try on Boot for that DVD for my quad set up. I surely need a new video card since my ati hd4650 is not good with osx, can you recommend me a good one (not extremely high end, between 512mb / 1gb GDDR3 or higher) Nvidea with QE on osx. *UPDATE* iAtkos v7 works perfectly fine, I was simply missing something during booting the dvd, all I needed was to add -x (I needed Safe Mode since its a graphics error, trying to boot with my ati in which isn't good in Leo). So in my case for my set up: cpus=1 busratio=20 -v -x And that booted perfectly, either way I'm going to finish downloading the ideneb distro you recommended since I do like all the extra options it has from install and well the obvious its directly a 10.5.8 installation.
