ernando Posted July 3, 2006 Share Posted July 3, 2006 Hi all, I notice that either 10.4.6 and the newest 10.4.7 doesn't recognize SMART supported HDD feature, I have Seagate and Maxtor here, the SMART feature has been enabled in BIOS, Windows supports it, but in System Profiler I find that no support for SMART. Anyone know how to enable this SMART feature on 10.4.7 ? boo50 Posted July 4, 2006 Share Posted July 4, 2006 i know what you are talking about/ in system prefferences you see what SMART status is not supported. but if you see in Bios- you 'll see what your smart status is enabled. i don't know why, but mac os didn't recognise SMART status on my HDD too. maybe because it's ATA ? anybody with SATA can see in system pref. what SMART is supperted ?
