sasza
Hi All I just tried install 10.4.6 in HP nc6210. With SSE3 kernel I receive illegal instruction exeptions. Error is: launchd: /system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/macos/loginwindow port /dev/console exited abnormally: illegal instruction Is it normal ? Notebook is Pentium-M based - so I choose in Jas's 10.4.4->10.4.6 patched DVD options with SSE3. Choosing SSE2 gives me proper boot - but I want to avoid SSE3 emulation... Is really Pentium-M not SSE3 capable ? BTW: Has anybody experience with nc6210 build-in NIC.... Mine is not supported. troisd
Pentium-M does *not* have SSE3. You need SSE3 emulation. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20970-illegal-instruction/#findComment-173475 Share on other sites
