HI, all

My setup is

AMD X4 955 Black Ed.

ASUS M4A78T-E

onboard graphic ATI HD3300

790GX Chipset

I got iDeneb 10.5.8 Lite and got successful boot and am writing this thread in mac.

My problem is my display is stuck at 1024*768. I have dual monitor 22" and 17" and if I can get this going, it would be awesome. I googled, binge, yahoo about ATI Radeon HD3300 but I couldn't find any answer to this. It is onboard graphic, but from one forum HCL 10.5.7 -> http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.7#Asus Shows

"Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3300 GPU Work Perfect.", so I believe there is an answer to this but I just can't find it.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thank you in advance. Please help.

This isn't perfect but should work back up before use just in case

The Kext i've included is for ATI HD 3650

You could also try the Generic Kext

if not try to get a kext for your chipset

Thanks for the info, but no luck. After installing the package, it will halt at apple logo :hysterical:

Obviously it is creating some conflict with the package and HD3300.

I got my eye on Radeon HD3650 1GB to add to my system.... I figure it would be better to add for Windows 7 and Mac.

thank you for the info. I found a solution by getting a new Radeon HD3650 1GB graphic card. :P

When I used iDeneb 10.5.8 Lite, it had universal ATI HD driver and it seemed work as I now have dual monitor display and correct resolution.

However I have a problem. In system profiler, it shows Radeon HD 2600 in deplay (mine is HD3650). That would be OK if it works fine, but what I notice is that the video stutters or choppy if I have a video on full screen. i.e watching 24 thru Fox.com. if the screen is default size in the browser, it is fine, but when I click full screen, it is choppy meaning not smooth. I know this is not a graphic card problem, because in Windows 7, it is perfectly working.

I tried using ATI Radeon HD 3650 AMD 10.5.5-10.5.X.zip which I found in this forum, but that didn't work as it reverted back to single display and locked my resolution to 1078X756, so I used RadeonHD.kext.10.5.zip and the screen came back as I first installed iDeneb but, again, the full screen video has a problem rendering.

Any idea on this how to fix?

Thank you in advance.

I noticed in my system profiler, CI says: software, QE not suppoerted. Is that why my full screen video is choppy?

In HCL 10.5.8 ATI HD3650 shows CI/QE is supported. How do I enable this?
