osmthi Posted July 2, 2006 Share Posted July 2, 2006 Hi all, I have the installation discs to install Mac OS X (10.4.4 i think) that came with my iBook G4. I have also obtained a Maxxuss patch (the folder is named "Maxxuss_Kernel_Patches_8F1111_Release2"). Would I be able to use the patch with these discs and burn the whole thing on a DVD? The PC I would like to install this on has SSE2. Thanks for the help. belgrano Posted July 2, 2006 Share Posted July 2, 2006 I think the Install DVD that came with your iBook contains the PPC build of Mac OS X so it's useless on a pc (hackintosh). The patch will not work on it. To install on a pc you need an Intel build of Mac OS X.
