Just like any other mobility card it is not supported... you can get res change but belive me osx stinks without hardware accleration

Some users has reported that from 10.6.2 with the graphicsenabler mod the hd4330 card is working with QE/CI support even if without the native resolution yet.

Seems that, till now, only 256MB version is supported, I have a 512MB version that is not recognized and I run probably in VESA 1024x768 :)

I'm trying to understand if I could extract my card's bios .rom and load it at boot to let the system recognize it.

Any help will be appreciated 'cause I'm new to these practices.

The card most likely works, the problem as reported by many people is that the driver doesn't support LVDS output, which most laptops use currently.

If someone writes a framebuffer supporting it, it should work :hysterical:

In case people don't know, the 4xxx series is well documented by VIA and there's the source code for their drivers available for quite some time. So it should be doable.

Great info!

I confirm it is a display issue: i followed netkas guides to enable graphics but after the grey apple logo the display turned black with only backlight.

I reached as a blind the system profiler and saved a profile in wich is written that the card is correctly recognized, but no display is available also if connected to the external vga display.

see here..

Hope to find a solution in some way
