c0ke
Just like any other mobility card it is not supported... you can get res change but belive me osx stinks without hardware accleration Some users has reported that from 10.6.2 with the graphicsenabler mod the hd4330 card is working with QE/CI support even if without the native resolution yet. Seems that, till now, only 256MB version is supported, I have a 512MB version that is not recognized and I run probably in VESA 1024x768 I'm trying to understand if I could extract my card's bios .rom and load it at boot to let the system recognize it. Any help will be appreciated 'cause I'm new to these practices. koopa
Exactly the same goes for me. I have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB, too. Sadly, I don't have very much knowledge about that deep modifications into osx (until now!). Has anybody already got the video card to work? nmarques
The card most likely works, the problem as reported by many people is that the driver doesn't support LVDS output, which most laptops use currently. If someone writes a framebuffer supporting it, it should work In case people don't know, the 4xxx series is well documented by VIA and there's the source code for their drivers available for quite some time. So it should be doable. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208921-mobility-radeon-hd-4300/#findComment-1399174 Share on other sites

I reached as a blind the system profiler and saved a profile in wich is written that the card is correctly recognized, but no display is available also if connected to the external vga display. see here.. Hope to find a solution in some way Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208921-mobility-radeon-hd-4300/#findComment-1400596 Share on other sites
