Zeph
Hi there I have a HP zd8124EA laptop which I have managed a successful install of OSX x86 on using DeadMoo's disk image. So successful infact that I am typing this post from Safari while playing an MP3 in Quicktime player that is stored on my Windows File Server running on my Linux box upstairs, however, I am unable to get any PPC applications running such as ITunes, I have attempted to install MSN Messenger but the installer won't run either, the icon on the dock just bounces once then does nothing else. Can anyone shed any light on a fix to my problem? BTW Spec is HP Pavilion zd8124ea Intel Pentium 4 "Prescott" 3GHz with Hyperthreading and 1MB Cache 512MB DDR2-4200 (Dual Channel - 2x 256) Toshiba 100GB 4,200RPM HDD ATI Radeon Mobility x300 Ethernet is a Realtek 8139 compatible Sound is some Connextant AC97 doohicky, i think it works with Intel 810 drivers anyway any advice would be much appreciated. cyrana
OK next stumbling block, what is the root password on the Deadmoo image, or how can i reset it? Cheers. Try using search this time. You've asked like 3 questions in a row that have all been answered before. However, I recommend booting with -s (single user) and just changing the passwords. Zeph
Thankyou very much guys, after messing around a bit and getting the Maxxuss patch installed, I managed to get MSN Messenger installed now and am chatting with friends online, I have a tri-boot system with Mac OS X Windows XP Pro Fedora Core 4 Linux everything is working perfectly, Mac OS X can read my Windows files and once i recompile the kernel in Linux, I should be able to read both Mac OS X and Windows files. cyrana
Glad it is working. And as for why. Well, if I answered everyone who asked stuff that is easily found, they'd never use the search. Anyway, again, glad you figured it all out.
