So I had many a problem a few days ago installing via a sata dvd and I went out and bought a usb DVD burner to get this installation going and this is where I am now.

I'm still new to the OSx86 stuff and i'm learning as I go, reading as much about this process as I can.

Now that I've got the installation going i'm running into a snag after the installation, it gets to the darwin booter and it just reboots. My educated guess here is that I shouldn't have installed one of the kernels. I had read that I needed to install them all on a 10.5.2 guide here on these forums. As well I followed it by not installing network or wifi or sound drivers. What should I and shouldn't I be installing in the beginning?

Most of the guides i've found pertain to Intel systems. I haven't found a decent one for amd. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Specs:

Gigabyte GA-M59sli n-force 590 chipset

-2 onboard ethernet ports(disabled in Bios)

-Realtek HD Audio

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+

ATI Radeon 3850

Linksys WMP300N

500gb sata

300gb sata

120gb sata

DVD/RW internal sata

DVD/RW external usb

yea I has already tried that. After typing -v and hitting enter the darwin loader starts flashes a few lines of code and reboots. Thats the main problem, can't see is going on. I'm pretty sure its the Vanilla Kernel. I'm reinstalling now without it. I read that if that is checked at installation and you don't have an Intel system then this whole problem does occur.

That wasn't the problem, it was the vanilla kernel, just reinstalled but now i'm getting hung up further down the line here on the boot after install. I'm having no trouble at all installing, its just a matter of getting it to boot correctly after its done. I'm going to take a snapshot of it and post it so you all can see what i'm seeing.

Here's a snapshot of where i'm stuck, and this is even after typing -v cpus=1
