ptesone
Anyone got a clue on this one? Im searching like a madman here. . . EDIT: Ok I tried the 10.6.2 update again and this time I actually PAID ATTENTION to what was going on during the boot up sequence. Turns out AppleUSBOHCI is unhappy about kernel stuff or lack thereof (which resides in IOUSBFamily.kext plugins folder btw) and the kernel I'm using is the old modbin 7 kernel because it's an AMD system. . . so I'm going to try using the old IOUSBFamily.kext from 10.6 to see what happens. . . -cross your fingers! EDIT EDIT: It worked. I got the old AppleUSBEHCI : UIMInitialize error (0xe00002c9) error back! -but hey, at least I got keyboard and mouse again. . . (Could not get chip to initialize within... error btw. . .) DraggyGarg
You mean keyboard or mouse? If so, are they PS/2? I also had troubles getting my PS/2 mouse/keyboard to get to work, but USB keyboard/mouse worked just fine. I kept a backup of my entire /system/library before hand, just incase... I was able to restore and update to 10.6.1 with no issues so far, but I want to try 10.6.2 again...
