I got my sound output to work using this post: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=18642 But it only fixed my output.

I'm running on a:

Asus P5LD2-VM w/ a Pentium D 820 (OC'd at 3.1 GHz), 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB HDD, etc. etc. I guess it uses ALC882, that's what the guide was for anyway. And somebody with the same motherboard linked to the topic.

I hate to dissapoint, but I don't think anyone has sound input with that board, or others really. I'm not 100% positive, but all the threads I read to get sound working on the 3 machines I have had it working on were about getting sound out working. It even came out of the wrong place for what the boards are labeled. I read that the pinout is different somehow probably on the intel macs the drivers were written for, so the patches make it work -sort of- and we get sound out, but no in. I think some people have USB sound in devices working though.

-Good luck, search the forums maybe I'm wrong and someone has figured it out

Do you think this will eliminate the need for a driver? http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic/

That might work, but it'll still need some kind of a driver. It probably comes with one or you can download it. The trick will be to see if it is universal yet. (intel compatible to work on your you Hacintosh)
