bdmakana Posted January 21, 2010 Share Posted January 21, 2010 CPU: Intel Core Quad Q9400 2.66ghz MB ASUS P5E3 Pro x48/ICH9R RAM: 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 1066 HDD: SATA 250 GB 7200rpm IDE: CD/DVD Burner 4X (Generic/No-name brand) Graphics: ATI Radeon 4350 - 512mb Install Methods: Generic.iso with Retail DVD = DIDN'T WORK BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.iso with Retail DVD= DIDN'T WORK KALYWAY 10.5.1 = DIDN'T WORK KALYWAY 10.5.2 = DIDN'T WORK iPC 10.5.6 FFG5 Final = WORKED Install Options: - 9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel - Intel ICHx SATA Dr. - AD 1988B - Marvell Yukon 88E-8056 - seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 - shutdown/restart fix - USB Mount Fix - AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev 3 Mac Pro - Chameleon with SMBIOS/PSAT Things not working: Graphics = stuck at 1024x768 (ATI Radeon 4350) Audio = no audio output options in control panel Shutdown = screen freezes and white text shows over the desktop CD/DVD = no discs are seen and non will mount (IDE drive in master position) Does anyone know how I can fix these? I'm putting this together to be a rendering option for Final Cut Pro, Compressor and Cinema 4D. Will my card even work for these programs? I've been working on this for about 13 days by searching these forums and web and after all that, honestly I've gotten nowhere and I haven't learned anything about how to get my system to work. There are a lot of people working on machines which is great, but I tried really hard to figure this out without having to post. Thanks in advance.
