kt6uk
Not sure where to post this, but after a lot of work and research I now have my Hackintosh working 100% and stable - at least as far as I can tell :-) That is to say: 1. Audio works 2. Time Machine works 3. Auto sleep / wake works 4. Boot time is less than 15 seconds 5. Shut down / sleep on demand is instantaneous 6. No error messages in the system or kernel logs 7. Only using fakesmc and hda for audio 8. Speed stepping works with seven preset clocks speeds I customized / patched DSDT for processor, video card, LAN, USB final_version.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208243-fully-patched-dsdt-for-sl-on-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3l/ Share on other sites
juliorossi
I´ve tried your dsdt file and it works fine for me too, just don´t know how to patch it with my cpu (q6600) so it would recognize 4 cores. I am a newbie and i´ve been messing around, trying to patch it but i couldn´t. I really appreciate some help here. keypox
nice work, you were able to get auto sleep to work without any additional patch/program? What video card are you running on there? EDIT NEVERMIND YOU HAVE 8800GTS. I have gtx 260, ithink all i need to change is amount of ram. BTW Im gonna try this DSDT to see how it goes. I currently have a stable one with everything you mentioned, expcept auto sleep, and speedstepping. Still using NullCPUPowerManagement and RIP2 for autosleep. Gymnae
I also wonder how to patch this for a Q6600 processor. I try to understand your code but I fail to. How did you patch it? I am specifically looking to make speedstep work so the machine uses less power and runs cooler - also no more kext worries then. tjames
kt6uk nice work on the dsdt, ur a genius! worked beautifully first time. The only problem I am having is my hackintosh wont wake from sleep except by pressing the power button. Is there a way I can fix this so that mouse/keyboard activity will wake from deep sleep? ...I am running a Vanilla system, ga-p35-ds3l rev2 board, nvidia 8800gts, 2gb ram, currently... osx 10.6.2, only kexts using is fakesmc. Any ideas I'd appreciate, its driving me crazy. Anyone who has sleep/wake working please tell me where I might be going wrong? npereira
How can the DSDT be modified for my Processor and video card? And pehaps my USB Wifi WDA130...? Ive read about DSDT alot lately, but I tried DSDTSE and I don't even know how to change for my specific specs? Can anyone provide some feedback as to what I should do ? See sig for my setup.
