intrus012
Hello everyone, I've been following this site for quite some time now, i got my previous laptop running nicely with OS X 10.5.7 about 3 months ago but it died because of video memory overheat .... Anyways, I'm using a HP 9715nr and booting up iATKOS V.7 10.5.7 - I managed to get into GUI but Disk Utility wont recognize the internal Hard drive, i'm wondering if it has anything to do with NTFS? i don't think, but i wanted to be sure before i reformat the entire drive only to find out that i still have the same problem. Here is a bit more info on the system: - AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-60 (SSE 1, 2, 3 & AMD-V (Disabled)) - Quanta 30D1 85.26 Motherboard BIOS Version F.30 (4/24/08) -- Version F.32 is out, i may try updating if needed. - nForce 560 A2 Chipset - Geforce 7150M / nForce 640M 128MB A1 - Corsair 3GB PC2-5300 at 333mhz - Atheros AR5007 WiFi adapter Any help will be appreciated, thanks - Intrus Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208201-hp-dv9715nr-laptop-hardrive-prob/ Share on other sites

intrus012
you have to select the chipset kext in personalization! Thanks for the reply, when you say "Chipset kext in personalization" you refer to the bootup, when we pres "F8" to add the flags such as "-v"? If so, i've been searching around, not quite sure how to boot with a chipset kext selected. I found "toh -v" and "mach-970 -v".
