luds
Hi, newbie here. I have done my first complete build on a gygabyte GA-EP45 and to my absolute surprise it's been working like a charm. However I am now getting ambitious and would like to be able to use my Sonnet DP500 External RAID. None of the sata ports on the board have port multiplier (at least that is what I understand), I therefore bought the Sonnet Tempo SATA E2P praying that it would be a plug and play type of solution. I have installled the card in my PCIe upper slots and installed the drivers but System profiler does not see it. Any suggestions? Or should I simply forget about trying... Let me know.if you know for a fact that another sonnet card is compatible, or if you know how to make this one work. hello&goodbye
hello, I use a Sonnet Tempo SATA E2P with gygabyte EX58-UD3R ,but non raid. This card only use for Snow32-bit with SiliconImage3132.kext(for 32-bit only). If you use SnowLeo-64bit , you must wait for a kext for 64-bit kext. And you had better check the another card this page http://www.sonnettech.com/product/computercards/index.html Sorry my bad english. bye. I am still interested in making it work. How do I find out which version I run (64bit or 32bit)? This is my system info: System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540) Kernel Version: Darwin 10.2.0 I was going to try the Tempo SATA E4P next. Do you think that would work? What do I need to make it work? Thank you. valv
Try the PPA Int’l eSata ExpressCard. Seems to work for MacPro guyz over there. Did not tested though.
