databass
Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of a nudge in the right direction from someone wiser. I've installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my Acer Aspire One according to the instructions on the (now removed) Venera 7 website. This involved installing more RAM and getting a 1490 Dell Broadcom Wireless card installed. The OS is now upgraded to 10.5.8 and I've installed all the kexts recommended in the instructions, however after installing the kexts from Paul's Wind Drivers and Utilities Pack ( AppleIntelGMA950.kext, AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext, AppleSMBIOS.kext, ClamshellDisplay.kext and Natit.kext) I get a corrupted display upon boot (after the apple icon appears). The instructions were written when 10.5.5 was the latest release, so I guess some of these kexts might be too old? I can still boot in safe mode with no problems, but I don't know how to troubleshoot the issue. Is there a way of figuring out which kext is causing the problem? Any comments or suggestions are gratefully received :-) Thanks, Dom PS. I am also have a problem with the keyboard/mouse and have read through many many forums but none of the suggestions seem to work - again any suggestions would be brilliant. databass
have you searched in intel section? Just searched the forum generally but couldn't find anything. Came across this just now though: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...129774-700.html Sorry... I'll check this out when I get home. Looks like the GMA950 kext just needs to be removed.
