Hey there!

I have recently updated from kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.8 HURRAH! Cheers all those whose guides have led the way.

The only problem I have, is not really a problem - more a concern!

Every time I boot I have to use the flags "update -v" or the boot fails.

I dont know what "update" does but... it works!

So I was just wondering if anyone knows if it might be an issue? if theres any thing I can change to boot without it? Did I do something wrong?

Specs

MB:MSI P35 neo-f (patched)

CPU: Intel core 2 duo (vanilla kernel)

GPU: XFX 8800gs (NVinject 320)

Installed on external HDD

Install order

1. Kalyway 10.5.2 via DVD

2. Kalyway_UpdCombo10.5.3 + kernel patch (2_kalyway_10.5.3_kernel)

3. MacOSXUpd10.5.4

4. MacOSXUpd10.5.5

5. MacOSXUpd10.5.6

6. MacOSXUpd10.5.7

7. MacOSXUpd10.5.8

Cheers!

EDIT: SORRY I HAVE POSTED THIS TWICE BY ACCIDENT - I THOUGHT MY FIRST POST ON THIS HAD DISAPPEARED AFTER POSTING BUT IT HAS MAGICALLY APPEARED AGAIN!!
