Z0ID
Hi Ive got a hint for you, Get the retail dvd, restore it to a external HDD or usb stick, install Chameleon on it, place your Kexts in the /Extra/Extensions folder, so you can rebuild them quickly wit a second pc (for the terminal Script: KEXT_RETAIL="/System/Library/Extensions" KEXT_EXTRA="/Volumes/[yourVolume]/Extra/Extensions" MKEXT="/Volumes/[yourVolume]/Extra/Extensions.mkext" kextcache -v 1 -t -l -a i386 \ -m "$MKEXT" "$KEXT_EXTRA" "$KEXT_RETAIL" (Thanks to zHell) . It saves much time regarding the DVD Installation ;-) g00d luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/207354-i-cant/#findComment-1385977 Share on other sites
taney
I used this thing called "Snow Leopard Universal v3.5" You can find it online. Google is your best friend. This forum has rules I have to abide by. Use that and your retail version of 10A432 and you will be fine. audit13
When you get your 10.6 disk ready, download Empire EFI, but it to a cd, and use it to boot your machine. This method allows you to skip using a specially preapred usb key. audit13
If you want to install Leopard, use one of the available distros. I find that Kalyway 10.5.2 to be very compatible with a wide variety of devices. With the Leopard distros, not need to boot with a bootloader. The distros will boot the machine directly.
