Kaneda13
ok, so i got my osx up and running on my P55M-UD4, i was putting XP x64 on my second partition, when it called for a reboot, i did, and now the bios hangs with searching the sata controllers. however, if i switch the drive back to ide, it finds it just find, and tries to load either windows or osx (both fail load since they where both loaded on ahci), but when i switch it back to ahci, the bios once again hangs trying to detect the drives on the controllers, any thoughts? mitch_de
I know (by own pain) that AHCI Bios (gigabyte 1.2) sometimes have major problems when an MBR (master boot record ) is damaged. It simple hangs in BIOS Bootscreen. If you deatattch this drive - it didnt hang. Or if you deactivate AHCI. The problem is that you must first unplug that drive to get in the BIOS SETUP for disabling AHCI. Then try to update MBR (with chameleon ) again.
