t3st3r
Can you send me the rtl8139 kext file from OS X 10.4.3 and let me know how can I copy it on the hdd? t3st3r
I guessed that this is the problem since this is where the boot loader stops. Then it states "Still waiting for root device". I've attached 2 screenshots - not very clear, sorry about this. Thank you for your reply. I already tried with no success the following commands: platform=X86PC -v -x -v rd=disk0s* -v (replace the * with your OS X partition number) -f -v If you have a clue of what it can be, please drop a line. t3st3r
People are talking about putting together a LIVECD for OS X and other "impossible" jobs but nobody cares no more to help around with the troubles of the smaller ones. Mr. Bond
*sigh*... The waiting for root device error means exactly what it says...it can't figure out where the hell to boot from. There's a number of reasons that might cause this, including unsupported SATA, to VIA chipsets. Perhaps you could post your specs for us? Also, there's many, many topics on this throughout the forum, so another search wouldn't help either. Cheers... t3st3r
Thanks for your answer. I'm reading the forum. The *best* solution for this problem was the jumpers settings,... however, it's not for me.
