Welcome to InsanelyMac! ;)

Please provide us with some specifications about your system (CPU, Motherboard, Graphics & Model Number if applicable). Adding more specific information allows us to respond quickly with more precise answers. Chipset, LAN, Audio & If your Graphics are integrated or not, are excellent additions.

You can also place this information in your "Signature". It will then appear on every post you make. This can be done via My Controls: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...rCP&CODE=00

Please follow the rules described in this thread (Most importantly keeping your signature to no more than 5 lines of normal text: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...p;hl=signatures

Have you tried both together? -v -x

On what line does it stop.

First of all, it's generally not a good idea to only rely on OS X until you get it working stable. You might want to download a linux distro LiveCD on another computer and burn it so you can boot your computer to access the hard drive and such. From what I remember, that's a common problem with iDeneb. I think it's fixed by using the ACPIPlatform-old or somesuch option in the Customize when you install.

kernal panic as it looks like but il try re-installin also im a newbie with comps so you might have to explain a slight bit more Also How Do i fix kernal panics. Thanks

P.S. If i managed to get this fixed i will definatley donate to you as you have helped me get a mac.

If you have a brand name computer than your model number is a good start. Reply back with your model and brand name and also try googling it. You should be able to obtain a specs page on the manufacturer's website that should help.

There are a plethora of causes for KPs In order to better help you we would need to know what is displayed during the KP. A readable photograph of your screen with the KP information is a good start.

@Dann2:

As mentioned previously, please press F8 when your bootloader (the mac one) screen comes up and then type "-v" and press enter. Then let it boot as far as it will go and tell us what's on the last few lines of the screen. You can take a photo of it if you want. FYI a Kernel Panic is just a system crash, when you don't use -v it shows up as a grey box telling you to restart the computer.
