danerd100
Hey guys and gals, When I install Snow Leopard using the retail dvd (restored to a partition) and a modified OSInstall.mpkg, I get a kernel panic (image attached, sorry for low res, readable though, if you need more, i can get another picture). Im assuming this is a Leopard problem? I am using iPC 10.5.6 on my system. Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/206701-solved-kernel-panic-during-install/ Share on other sites

danerd100
Problem solved. I noticed while I was installing that it usually crashed when an error message came up (that had come up many times in the past) saying I have inserted a blank disk into my dvd drive (when in fact, it was not blank). I dont know if that was the problem, or if when I booted in safe mode, it just worked because I did both of those things.
