metzz71
Trying to install 10.6 on Dell D820. As it boots, it panics on AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. "No HPETs available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly" I installed 10.6 using Universal installer and then loaded Chameleon RC4 and the following kexts according to the link. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...s#Latitude_D820 VoodooTscSync.kext NVKush BCM5751Ethernet.kext PS2KeyboardFix VoodooHDA.kext VoodooBattery Thoughts on why it wants to panic? Should I not be using Uinstaller? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/206552-d820-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites
Guest
Add NullCPUPowerManagement to your kexts (If you are using Chameleon, just drop it in /Extra/Extensions) and either boot ignoring caches (-f) or regenerate the extensions.mkext in /Extra before rebooting. I think (but I am not the perfect expert on this topic) that AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement will not KP only if you start playing around with the DSDT.aml file to get Vanilla native power management support. Now it still hangs.... last two lines go like this.... waitforservice(resourcematching(appleintelcpupowermanagement) time out WARNING - LPC device initialization failed: C-state power management not initialized Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/206552-d820-kernel-panic/#findComment-1381083 Share on other sites
