ringterlit
Ok, here is where I'm at with this confounding machine. Snow Leopard 10.6.2 in 32 bit mode only. Everything works except that I can't get it into 64 bit mode. Here are my specs: Intel DP43TF Core 2 duo 3gh 4 gigs memory nVidia 8800GTS 640 megs (working fully by using hex code in Boot.plist) Kexts: fakeSMC Intel82566MM IONetworkingFamily NullCPUPowerManagement OpenHaltRestart VoodooHDA PC_EFI 10.5 Chameleon 4 I tried running it in single user mode -x arch=x86_64 and every time it hangs with these two lines: Waiting for DSMOS... acpi_smc_platformplugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver Any direction on how to get this into 64 bit mode would be greatly appreciated. This works perfectly in 32 bit mode. I was under the impression that if you use all 64 bit kext that it would work. As far as I know the 6 kexts that I am using are all 64 bit. Slan, Dan UPDATE: I booted with only ONE kext, fakeSMC, and I still get: Waiting for DSMOS... acpi_smc_platformplugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver No KP, just sits theres. I'm done trying to get this into 64 bit., I am going to buy a new mobo and try again.
