Meff
Hello, i'm having trouble with kernel panics at restart/shutdown. My specs are: Intel Dual Core E2160 MSI P35 Neo2-FR 2GB DDR2 800mhz ram GF 8600GT I'm using Voodoo kernel 9.7.0 on iATKOS v7 upgraded to 10.5.8 (before upgrade kernel panics were present too). I was previously using Kalyway 10.5.2 without problems with restart/shutdown but moved to iATKOS v7 since I couldn't update Kalyway to 10.5.8. I have no idea what is causing these panics, I've heard it could be related to ACPIplatform but don't know which kext I should download and install. I will appreciate your help. So: 1. everything works: ethernet, vga, both cores, sound, usb, dmg mounting etc. 2. shutdown, restart, sleep doesn't work. Lord_Jeremy
Have you done google searches on the problem? I can't recommend one specific kext for you since there could be a variety of causes and fixes.
