Hey guys, I have a few hackintosh questions,I have tried hackintosh before but still a newbie. To begin with; if I add cups=1 to my boot would it prevent all kernal panics? and how could I add that to the source? Question 2: I will be using I-atkos how would I boot,I really liked the IPC boot, what should I ? Question 3: If I partion a space for OSX could I return to XP;would the boot screen also be removed;could I manually remove the boot from XP;mot the operating system just the boot screen? Question 5: What do you like about your mac; any cool things I should know about?

Thanks so much for answering my questions!

1) Er, maybe. But you would only be running with one CPU. You also haven't mentioned what kind of computer you have. It'd be pretty silly to do that with a single-core machine :(. If you're getting Kernel Panics, post back with more info about them. I might be able to help you solve them.

2) iAtkos comes with Chameleon 2.0 so you get a boot screen where you can type in boot options and choose the OS with arrow keys.

3) I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. I recommend installing Windows first and then installing Mac OS X, so you don't have to worry about nuking your bootloader. Ideally, the thing to do is install Mac OS X and Windows on two different drives.

4) ???

5) Profit! lol, jk... I use my Hack for all sorts of stuff. I write and record music using Logic Pro and GarageBand. I make movies with my video camera and process them in iMovie. I use Xcode to work on Java programming projects (I may try to work on an iPhone app in the near future). I also use a program called HandBrake (google it) to rip DVDs to my iPod. Macs are really awesome, they're great for creative stuff and art. Have fun with your Hackintosh!
