after finally getting through this update im on 10.5.5 but only because i booted with " -v -x "

 

how can i make it boot normally again?

So you got stuck on a blue screen? Maybe you need dsmos/AppleDecrypt kexts? You also might have to take out the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext. Boot up off of a linux livecd or windows with HFS+ drivers (MacDrive) so you can install/remove kexts.
