deeveedee
I stumbled upon this very old thread while researching options to revive my old GA-G31M-S2L. The GA-G31M-S2L fully supports 8GB (2x4GB) DDR2 memory. My system config is as follows. OSX: High Sierra 10.13.5 (APFS) Bootloader: Clover (Legacy) 4558 Motherboard: GA-G31M-S2L (BIOS F10f) CPU: Intel Xeon E5450 (771 > 775 conversion) RAM: 8GB DDR2-800 (Mushkin Silverline 996762 2x4GB kit) Graphics: NVidia 8600GTS 256MB (Web Drivers 387.10.10.10.35.106) System HD: SSD I recently purchased the 8GB RAM on Ebay for $40 and the CPU for under $15. Very inexpensive way to revive this great socket 775 board. Edited June 25, 2018 by tonyx86
