ameer Posted December 30, 2009 Share Posted December 30, 2009 Downloaded & installed: Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard.iso With customize: 10.6.2 Chamelon RC3 1.5 efi Rosetta EVOenabler ATI HD 4870 Extra/Extensions Problem: normal booting showing error (restart pc) after restarting, noticed it reset bios settings! .. the picture token when Booted with 32bit: -v i386 .. My PC: C2D E6600 2gb DDR2 800 ATI sapphire 4870 1GB onoard HDAudio (Realtek) PCi-e creative XFi USB mouse&keyboard ... Mobo: Gigabyte EP31-DS3L .. The 2 picture are same, just to read it clearly .. Being a "universal" install CD, I don't see how it could have one on it.. heh.. Kucksy Posted January 11, 2010 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Hi Troy here. I had the same problem on my Intel D945DGTP motherboard. Anyhow this is how i fixed it!! 1. Boot / Reboot the computer with the -s (single user) switch 2. once u've typed in the fsck and mount commands (usual stuff when entering single user mode) type the following rm -r -f /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTyMCEdriver.kext once that is done - reboot the computer - It should now boot without a problem to the OSX Snow Leopard desktop! Best of Luck Troy Reasoning behind this - apparently the TyMCE driver causes the kernel panic in both 32 and 64 bit mode.
