puercohc Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 hi all i want install 10.4.6 on my laptop. when the dvd boot the installation freeze. booting in verbose mode i see an error like "IOPCCARDBRIDGE::start failed". i have search in the forum, the only solution maybe is disable the pcmcia by bios, but on my laptop i have a very stupid bios and i can disable only the usb but not the pcmcia. i have tried to boot with -x, -s , -F but installation freeze always on IOPCCARDBRIDGE. anybody know a solution for boot the installation? Mainboard and chipset: Motherboard manufacturer Hewlett-Packard Motherboard model 0850, NS570 Version PQ1B60 BIOS vendor Phoenix Technologies Ltd. Install always fails on the same IOPCCARDBRIDGE. ~pcwiz Posted September 22, 2007 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Try using a different, newer DVD such as Uphuck or JaS. The only solution I can think of is to disable PC Cards in the BIOS but apparently you cant do that...
