SOS ENT
So I have installed 4gb of RAM (which the OS correctly sees) but for some reason FCP7 will not open because it says I have -4gb of ram. I remember initially having this issue with the OS and FCP6 but was able to correct it (although for the life of me I can't remember how). But now as I said the OS reads correctly, but the newest version of FCP for some reason is still misreading my installed memory. Any thoughts?? Lord_Jeremy
I've never heard of this error message before and google hasn't enlightened me. Can you describe in greater detail what's going on? EDIT: Lol I thought you meant it sees less than 4 gigs, but you said it sees negative 4 gigs. That's really weird, I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest. Perhaps you could try trashing or editing the FCP preferences? SOS ENT
yeah believe me I searched everywhere before posting. The issue is that an error dialog pops up when I attempt to open FCP saying "Final Cut requires at least 1024MB of ram, you have -4096MB" then when I click ok the program closes. So I have no prefs, etc to trash because the program has yet to open at all.
