ringterlit
Hi all. I have 10.6.2 working well (still no 64 bit though) and I have Time Machine backing up hourly to an external FW. My problem is I can't restore anything. I hit the icon on the Dock and TM will build the center Finder, Mail, etc window. But it then just stops. I can, after about a minute, hit the tab key and it will allow me to erase the center window and resume work normally. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. Thanks and regards, ringterlit Intel DP43TF Core2Duo 3ghz nVidia 8800GTS 640meg 4gigs Crucial ram OSX 10.6.2 (vanilla) Hi all. However, and it is a BIG however, it is not loading the fancy graphics for me to choose what I want to restore. If I move my cursor all the way to the right and move it up a little bit and touch the screen, the center panel changes to the selected backup. If I hit the lower left the Cancel button kicks in and returns me to my Desktop. So my question is does anyone know where and what the graphics are for TM? Thanks again... ringterlit UPDATE: Ok, first off Happy New Year everyone and thanks to all "Hacks" out there who helped with all the loaders, kexts and general knowledge of OS X. Now to the above problem which is not missing graphic file or the like; it was the fact that Q/E had stopped working. And what a pain trying to get it working again. Got it working and all is well with Q/E and everything that uses it. So here is what I learned with this "adventure": First, the Intel mobo DP43TF is just absolutely horrible and I advise not to use for a Hackintosh. Second, there is a tremendous amount of information on the net that I believe anyone can put one of these together. So here is where I an leaving this now, everything works great in 32 bit mode except sleep. I cannot get this to boot in 64 bit and I have no idea why it won't or where to begin. I did all the flag settings and kexts and still no go. So I'll enjoy this Hack until I buy an i7 chip! midtoad1
you can boot off a Mac OS X install CD in an external DVD drive and do a Time Machine restore from there if you are stuck.
