attention_getter
Whenever I select: "Shut down", everything shuts down, but leaves my wallpaper up, and then all of a sudden, kernel panic pops up. If I select: "Restart", this doesn't occur. This is on a Gateway laptop, and I've seen other threads, but they seem to refer to desktop motherboard BIOS setting issues, and my available BIOS setting changes are limited and do not include the things discussed. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204430-kernel-panic-at-shutdown/ Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
Hmm. Might be fixable by Voodoo kernel or DSDT patch. What type of hardware are you running? Specifically, what motherboard and CPU? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204430-kernel-panic-at-shutdown/#findComment-1372825 Share on other sites
