Just installed Chameleon on an already working 10.6.2 (which WAS bootthink) but I forgot to put any kexts into the extras folder (facepalm). Is there any way to force Chameleon to boot from disk? I can restore to a time machine backup if I could just boot into the SL installer (I have a vanilla CD here).

Many thanks

Tom

Chameleon installed to HDD cannot boot from CD/DVD.

You can however make a Chameleon boot CD that can boot Vanilla install DVDs "PlayStation 2 swap-trick" style, or your existing OS X install on HDD.

With a little luck someone has posted a Chameleon or Boot-132 boot CD image for your motherboard that you can use to boot your install. Search.

You should make a Chameleon boot CD that can boot your current install. It takes 5 minutes and can save you from having to reinstall in the future. There's a tutorial over at the VoodooProjects forum.
