geishaNicki Posted December 28, 2009 Share Posted December 28, 2009 I'm new to os x86 and i have been trying to install it for about 4 days and i have tried many different installs. every install has been successful until i tried to boot. After I restart my computer (dell inspiron 1525) It loads then shows the apple grey screen for a minute or so then it goes black. The computer is still on and working but it is just black. and it stays black for a very long time. in fact I don't even know how long because after a while i try to restart it again. but if anyone could help me with this that would be wonderful. Also, it would be very helpful to know more about your hardware configuration. I reinstalled with “Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 Kalyway†(AMD/Intel) and followed the readme file that was included and it worked fine after that. it does not got to sleep mode at all.
