ATY_init / Natit / Radeon Package - The famous blue screen

I installed my MSI HD 2600 XT 512 MB PCIe in 10.5.6 with these kext pkg:

ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x (Current 10.5.6)

 

Then I replaced Natit.kext with newest ATY_init.kext from here:

But it doesn't matter if i use natit alone, ATY_init alone or both at the same time.

 

Everytime I start I get this blue screen, which I bypass with a screen saver activation corner and no log in screen.

 

After touching the mouse everything else works fine:

The interesting thing is when I use newest Natit.kext in System Profiler it shows ATY,Megalodon. With ATY_init.kext instead of Natit.kext it shows ATY,Lamna - no matter if I use 10.5.6 or 10.5.7 kexts

 

 

Here is what ATY_init has to say on start up in system.log:

I've googled and search for days and also tried to get it working using a dsdt.aml, but Koalalas DSDT patcher doesn't work. I can't get any file out of it - full of error messages ...

 

Help would be appreciated. I've read a lot about this blue screen issues also with other graphic cards ... What could be the reason for that?

Is this normal: "ATY_Init: Quiting for card 0x9588" ?

irc is your best bet to catch netkas.

patching OpenGL.framework doesn't work too. I'm using Voodoo kernel, but I've heard in some situations it doesn't do patching on the fly ...
