neil43
Try booting with this argument: -v -f idlehalt=0 cpus=1 My AMD installs have been somewhat weary and trouble prone. Good luck. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203680-installing-ipc-on-hp-dv-6700/#findComment-1367754 Share on other sites
Jorge Iten
With this command the installation has progressed, but now stops waiting for some device, that i believe it is the hard disk, did you solve this problem too? neil43
Well you have made progress (from KP to stall waiting for root device). I have seen this error. I maybe wrong, but I think that the installer script is looking for the hard drive but does not find it at the anticipated location. If you have the ability to have your SATA HDD as your first device (lowest numbered SATA port). Do you have the ability to partition and pre-format your hard drive in OSX. If so try both MBR and GUID formatted partitions. Also, I suggest that you take notes as to what configurations you try and the result. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203680-installing-ipc-on-hp-dv-6700/#findComment-1368108 Share on other sites
