i have mac osx 10.4.3 with the iso patched for sse2

i have a 9.7 gig partion on my pc and i am intending on installing osx on to that and dual boot it with windows

the only problem is that when i start the osx disk it says loading darwin/x86 and the normal grey screen with the apple appears but almost as soon as the grey screen appears the screen darkens and a dialouge box appears saying to restart the computer by pressing the power button but when i do that and start up the install disk again i get the same message

this is as far as i can get :construction:

thanks in advance

Well, I said "pictures", not "screenshots"... Take a camera and just take some pictures of your screen.

Or take a piece of paper and a pencil and write them down...

Other than that, make sure the 9.7GB partition is primary (not logical), there aren't any logical partition before that one on the HDD. It's preferably to use an ATA HDD (you will be fine with SATA if the chipset is Intel too). Unplug any other HDDs (if you have more than one) and put the DVD-Rom as a slave on the same IDE cable with the HDD.

ok here is the last 7 lines on the screen

In Windoze open Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management

On the left panel click on the + sign next to Storage and then click on Disk Management. Now (after few seconds) you can see on the right panel all your partitions from the HDD. If they are primary, they should have a horizontal blue stripe on them (in the lower half of the right panel).

the partion is logical........so that kind of makes it useless for mac eh??

also im think of geting a new hdd any way for extra space so when i get it ill make a primary partion and put mac on that and use the logical partion for the extra storage for mac

do you think that mac will work like that

thanks for all of your help
