martinjjw
Hi, I have a working 10.4.5 install (from the Myzar DVD) which works perfectly. I *really* don't want to mess it up. Is it possible for me to safely upgrade to 10.4.6 and do I need to download the full DVD to upgrade? Or can I just download some patches and run the update. I have an Intel 2.4 Northwood and I'm using IDE if that makes any difference. I am using an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP with the koverg patch to get CI and QE. All working perfectly. My sound and networking worked out-of-the-box on 10.4.5. Any issues I should be aware of? Thanks in advance, M Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20342-upgrading-1045-to-1046/ Share on other sites
belgrano
It's "update" not "upgrade" Actually you can safely update myzar 10.4.5 to 10.4.6 using a package made by myzar also. It's called "MacOSX Upd 10.4.6 Intel_V3.zip" and it's about 147MB. I found it on the Bay but I highly doubt that is there anymore. Search on Demonoid or using TorrentSpy, isoHunt... On a side note, why are you using koverg patch for QE and CI? I have an ATI Radeon 9800 XT but I just added my device ID to ATIRadeon9700.kext to enable QE and CI. Oh, and I have an Intel Nortwood 2.4 too, but I'm running it at 2.7GHz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20342-upgrading-1045-to-1046/#findComment-134123 Share on other sites
martinjjw
Thanks, downloading now. Found it on binsearch. Can't remember why I used koverg, there was a reason at the time.
