FruitRocks
I used the OS X 10.5.2 retail "trial" disc to make a vanilla install. When I entered the serial number, all I get stuck with is a twirly icon that says validating serial number. do i have to enter in the serial number? Lord_Jeremy
Serial number? What? I've never heard of OS X requiring a serial number (except for Server). Maybe it's asking you to input what you want the serial number of the computer to show up as? Also, is there a reason you're using such an old version? Rakib Rana
I think u have to change your bios setting. Go to bios and find out if the onboard ethernet or Lan controller enabled or disable. if disable then enable it & most probably ur problem should disappear. Lord_Jeremy
Uh, what makes you think this problem is caused by onboard ethernet? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203371-os-x-wont-register-serial-number/#findComment-1372877 Share on other sites
