Memphis999
Hi, since yesterday I am lucky to say, that Leopard is running again on my PC. But now it is the snow one About a year ago, I had Leopard 10.5.8 on this system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At first, my system: - Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R with AALC889a Audio - Intel Quad 2,66 GHz - 2x2 Gb Corsair Dominator (800 MHz) - Sapphire ATI 4870, 512MB - Original 2,5" HDD from my MacBook (which now has a SSD). BUT, in SL it is shown as extern Device...(don't know why). - Sound works (comes out of the black instead of green, but works) - LAN don't work. Would be nice, but atm i don't need it - 4870 works - WLAN isn't workin (DLink DWL-G122 C2), at 10.5.8 it worked well, but under SL... (Update... It works) - Searching for good WLAN an BT-Adapter Booting: - Chameleon RC4 on USB-Stick - netkas EFI Boot 10.5 - Custom and own created DSDT.aml (created under Ubuntu-Live) - A few kexts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because the WLAN-Stick does not work. i've downloaded the 10.6.2 Update directly from apple. I can run it. But when I have to choose the target Volume, there are only 2 devices. My USB-Stick (Chameleon) and the HDD (2,5", 160Gb, Hitachi, 1 Partition, GUID, Extended (Journaled)). But both of them have a yellow exclamation mark (!) on it. Do I klick on my SL-Device, there is a note which says that the Mac OS X Update could not be installed on this Device. The Volume does not have the prerequisites for the Update. It's in german...: "Mac OS X Update kann auf diesem Laufwerk nicht installiert werden. Dieses Volume erfüllt nicht die Voraussetzungen für dieses Update." Does anyone know the problem? RSN
There are two types of Updates: Updates and ComboUpdates. Combo can take you from version 10.6 to 10.6.2 (or whatever), skipping and intermediate version. Update NEEDs to go one version at a time. So if you really have a Update for 10.6.2 and your System is 10.6 IT WILL NOT DO IT. So, get Update 10.6.1 and run it and the Update10.6.2 or get the ComboUpdate 10.6.2. Good luck.
