applefreak09
Hello everyone. I am unable to get my onboard sound on my P5Q Deluxe to work. I've tried everything I can think. I've searched this forum and found some kexts that didn't work. I've got sound using my USB sound card but it lags and skips every now and then, I'd just assume to have the built in working. Worked great under 10.5.8 with just the VoodooHDA.kext but for some reason nothing will work for 10.6.2. Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Marclh
I have sound working on my board, but I have quite a few kexts, just install them all... Remove your old kexts that you used to try and get sound to work. tomaszo2
Hello, sound out is working with VoodooHDA.kext from my attachment. Togethter with the original AppleHDA.kext from 10.6.2- nothing else. I think there are several different versions of Voodoo outside there, but this one definitely works. In System Profiler it does not show up, but you can open control panel audio, which wasn´t possible with all the other kexts that "should" work. I´ve tried so many Voodoo-Azalia-AD2000b, nothing worked....... Kexte__die_funktionieren.zip Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203090-ad2000b-and-1062-problem/#findComment-1365689 Share on other sites
