strikerdlm
Hello everyone I installed iATKOS v7 on a P5N32-E SLI Core 2 Quad 6600 2GB RAM with GTX 8800 SLI (disabled) following the guidelines on the osx86project.org 10.5.7 for my system and card using NVdarwin as driver. The resolution is stuck at 1024 x 768 and not being able to change it to native 1680x1050. I've tried using all the drivers (with fresh installs in every attempt): NVinject, NVEnabler, EFI strings and following this formus: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... opic=78980 http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4 and so on. I've read these 10.5.7 and GTX8800 work well with NVDarwin 1.5.2 but i install that one and can't give me full screen resolution and QE/CI Support. Does anybody have an idea how can this be fixed? Thank you in advance PS: I've read and read through out all the forums and websites and can't find a solution Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203048-nvidia-gtx8800-low-screen-resolution-iatkos-v7-1024-x-768/ Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
Who made your card? Sometimes different manufacturers have mixed results and require additional tweaking or somesuch. redcheshirecat
having the same issue with an Asus 8800GTX and iatkos7 Weirdly, I got it to work once, but at some other costs: Didnt load APIC or ACPI, which meant I had to boot up with CPUs=1 every time. But... if I used NVEnabler and the EFI string for dvi/dvi it worked fine. frustrating. The cat. redcheshirecat
After 2 more days... found a cure: using a clean install of iATKOS 7 i installed APIC and NVEnabler (no other video kexts) and got full QE support, and high degree of stability for video. I am using an ASUS p5N-E, and an ASUS 8800GTX. OSX 10.5.7 This APIC setup is not ideal 800 MHZ ram is showing as 667. I don't really know how to see if thats real, or just how its reporting to OSX.
