grandmaster
Hi there, I'm looking to buy a Mac so I can run DVD Studio Pro 4, although the other apps in the Final Cut Studio would be very helpful. The cheapest way for me to get a fully work Mac without worrying about compatibility is to buy a base-spec Mac Mini for £399, then upgrade to 2GB and slot in the spare 1.83GHz Core Duo chip I have. I was all set to buy the Mini today and guess what...? Yup, I checked the Final Cut Studio specs and it says PCI Express graphics cards are a requirement. Obviously the Mini hasn't got one. However, I've read reports on here of people getting the apps to work with integrated graphics. So what's the score? Will these apps work on the Mini or not? A Nonny Moose
Really and truthfully, most consumer video editing can be done with iMovie and iDVD and it'll make some kick ass things too if you work it right.
